ABC Landline features Outback Pride
9th December 2007
Today's episode of Landline, on the ABC, featured a fascinating 20-minute segment on the Outback Pride project.
Presenter Sally Sara introduces the feature: "As you put together the shopping list for Christmas day, a hardworking couple in South Australia is imploring you to jot down some indigenous foods. Mike and Gayle Quamby have donated their time and about $250,000 of their own money to a bush tucker program called "outback pride". They now have 20 aboriginal communities dotted around central and southern Australia growing a wide range of bush foods that are sold in gourmet shops and some supermarkets."
